Race Restrictions Background Restrictions Class Restrictions Additional PrC Requirements Multiclassing Rule

We invite all new characters to be made and tested prior to writing and submitting a bio, however our server has code in place to halt progression past level 3 with out a Bio Approved Token, given out by DM's once a bio for the character has been approved. Character Bios are submitted via the forums. It's a short and relatively painless process. Every character needs to follow these rules, exceptions exist, but please don't hold your breath on getting one.

We have imposed a soft cap on our characters of level 6, and a hard cap of level 16. Level Gems are needed to level past 8, yes, that does mean you'll have a ridiculous ammount of these gems sitting in the back of your inventory to be level 16. They are handed out by Staff once every month, during the third week of the month. This was done to purposely keep levels relatively low, and restrict character powers making them more realistic and less godly. Let Gods be gods, our characters are feasable as real people.
To clarify: It is not possible to level to 30 or even 20 on our server. The cap of 16 is final.

Race Restrictions

The following races will not be approved, and in fact can not even be leveled without an Approved Race token. These are given out infrequently, and only as a reward for very good RP.

-grey dwarf
-Drow
-Deep gnome
-half drow
-Any Genasi
-Tiefling
-Aasimar
-Any race not initially present at character creation

Background Restrictions

We have placed reasonable restrictions on some backgrounds to prevent the illogical and unfair starting advantages. Past these restrictions, we do ask that you keep in mind that your character will be starting at level 2 with only 500 gold pieces. So a first son of the Sultan of Ye-Rich-an'-Mighty-Empire is going to look a bit shabby with his common longsword in scale mail with a definite lack of his usual retainer of personal guard.

For logical reasons of setting and fair-play, the following backgrounds are restricted:
-Nobles from Impiltur are Invite-Only, and should they be invited they can not be Barbarians, Druids, or Spirit Shamen.
-Skallagrim Natives can not be Wizards.
-Original settlers of Stonereach are closed.
-Characters may not be survivors from the last settlement of the region (pre-Skallagrim).
-Characters may not be from Waterdeep or the surrounding areas. (This includes Amn.)

Class Restrictions

NWN2 removed a lot of requirements from DnD Prestige classes, and we have placed the RP restrictions back on a number of these classes. We feel that it increases the value of the classes, as it makes them something to achieve through good RP and not just stats and feats to be met. Some classes will only be available as an RP reward, and will require an Approved Class Token. These are given out occasionally as a reward for good RP.

Additionally, we ask that all players make their intentions to take a prestige class known in the Character Requests and Projects section of the forums. It is up to the player to make sure that they meet all the non-RP requirements (such as BAB and feats), posting intentions is for staff to check RP requirements. Please post them approximately two levels before the character is ready to take the class, unless more time is needed to arrange the RP requirements.

Warlocks and Favored Soul are closed, for various reasons. They are only available with an Approved Class token, which you can not expect to be given just because you want it. It is a reward for good RP.

Additional Prestige class Restrictions:

Arcane scholar of Candlekeep : As stated in the class description : Arcane scholars do not limit themselves to studying particular sorts of arcane magic. No specialized wizard can apply for this prestige class. In addition, the arcane scholar is also a "philosophy" of magic and will require the knowledge and teachings of another Arcane Scholar, whether PC or NPC. In either case a considerable amount of time is required.

Assassin : Must have murdered someone in cold blood with no strong personal motivation against the victim.

Blackguard: Requires a DM run event that follows the Pen and Paper rules for a Blackguard. This means that the character is required to make contact with an Outsider through a summoning of their own or another and struck a bargain for evil power.

Doomguide: Must be a LN Priest of Kelemvor (Cleric), have proficiency with the bastard sword, and have destroyed an undead of at least 5HD through any means (spell, sword, turn undead, etc), alone or with a group.

Harper Agent: The candidate must be sponsored by a member in good standing with the Harpers. This can be either a DM or a PC, they must then gain the approval of a higher ranked Harper and complete some sort of quest. This is a DM run event.

Hellfire Warlock: Must speak Infernal, and know either know brimstone blast or hellrime blast.

Invisible Blade: The character must defeat (though not nessicarially kill) a worthy opponent in single combat using only Daggers or Kukris as his only weapons.

Neverwinter Nine: It is unlikely this class will ever be allowed, if so it will likely be a plot specific class and will require heavy DM and Staff involvement.

Pale Master: The character must have spent three or more days locked in a tomb with undead. The contact be either peaceful or violent.

Red Dragon Disciple: Characters must have dragonblood, meaning levels in Sorcerer. Only available with an Approved Class Token.

Red Wizard: The character must be from Thay and be a logical candidate for this class. Available with an Approved Class Token, Only.

Shadow Thief of Amn: Requires contact from a Shadow Thief, and has stolen previously.

Stormlord: Must be struck by, and survive, lighting. This will be a DM run event. Any Cleric, Favored Soul, or Spirit Shaman who worships the following gods can become a Stormlord:
-Talos, Umberlee, Auril, Istishia, Aerdrie Faenya, Isis
All Druids may take the class, however if they are not worshiping one of the above deities they may only take 5 levels of the class.

Warpriest: Clerics are required to have one of these domains: Destruction, Protection, Strength, or War. A Druid has no further restrictions on becoming a Warpriest.

Multiclassing Rule

Any character will be permitted a total of three classes with a minimum of three levels in each class; As well as only one prestige class being allowed. If by reaching level ten you do not have three levels in each class, you must take your next levels in the lowest class till it reaches three.
Paladins and Monks may not continue to progress in their Monk/Paladin class once multiclassed unless they are part of an order allowing the character to multiclass into a particular class. Paladins may always multiclass into Divine Champion and continue ranks in Paladin.
