The world created by the staff and players is bigger than any one person. No one person should have sole ownership or control of the game world. As such those hosting the game world and the staff of the game world agree to the following:
If the game world can no longer be hosted in its current location 3 months warning would be given to the staff and players so that there is time to find a new home. When the server is transferred all character files will be provided at that time.
If there is an emergency at the host those hosting the server will make their best effort to move files in a timely manner.
All server and character files are backed up to a location that one or more other staff members have access. These backups take place on a reoccurring base.
No legal character files will be deleted without permission from that player unless said player has violated server rules. The staff may ask to use a deleted character as an NPC but this will only be done with player permission unless said player has violated server rules.
Constructive feedback to the staff and hosts is welcome. We are all volunteers so abusive feedback is not welcome.
The staff or host may decide to shutdown the game world if they feel that there is no longer enough interest to make it worth the effort to keep it running. If this happens a group of players or staff well be given the rights to the game world and can continue running it themselves.
