This conversation is heard in the tent replacement for the Frothing Otter between two drunken men..

“So you heard about that nasty poison that took this place down?”

“Yeah I heard it’s being crafted from the weed that was growing in the forest.”

“Right been lots of random attacks on people occur and the die four to eight hours later.”

“I heard that during the final hour the victim begin to cough up blood."

“Got that right I was told in the final minutes blood begins to pour freely from every orifice on the body.”

“Right if you begin to experience sickness, coughing, wheezing, redness of the eyes, or scratchiness of the throat to go see Doctor Court.”

“Why him?”

“He makes some fancy antidote I was told.”

"Well I was told if you begin to cough up blood or bleeding for the eye, mouth, nose, ear, anus, vagina, or penis it is too late for you.”

“Indeed the toxin has already spread too much. You would be better off ingesting an acid flask or dowsing yourself in alchemical fire and igniting yourself.”

“Why’s that?”

“Because when you die Weed springs forth from your body and begins infecting everything around it.”

“Right, it’s that what happened to this place.”

“Aye, infected came in and spit blood all over the floor. It didn’t clean it proper and it grew off the gloves of the bloke cleaning it.”

“Right shame it is.”

“What more is they tried to kill Doctor Court and the folk at the hospital.”

“Oh right heard about that too, didn’t they try to do the same to Zel of the Shield and that Cal elf that’s with the Mages?”

“Right. Right.”

“Bloody shame.”

“Agreed, just hope that can stop it before things get out of hand.”

“We’re in good hands, I’m sure everything will pan out”

“Sure you are right.”

The two drunks then stand up and head to their homes. One makes it just fine, the others burnt remains are found where the homeless reside. There are charred plant-like remains covering his body.

I just want to say I am VERY sorry for last night. I was on as Olin for a while but not actually playing for most of the night since the wife just flew back in town from her business trip and we were talking about a bunch of things. I swapped to Arthur but it soon came apparent that I could not RP and continue dealing with everything going on at this end. I should have just logged out at the beginning and I’m sorry that I was a complete RPing mess.

You deserve better for your events. I’ll just need to bow out next time and accept the consequences.

I'm fairly sure that if Arthur hadn't been there Zel and Cal would be quite thoroughly dead though ^^

Enjoyed the event, MK. Set up what'll happen on Sunday well! Should be a fun day.

*Told from Ren's perspective to the Bandit Queen.*

Queen: How did everything go?

Ren: Well I got to explain almost everything?

Queen: What do you mean almost everything?

Ren: Well the jackasses kept talking all at once, they interrupted, a lot!!! I was trying to tell them the bandit’s plans and they kept whining about money. Oh who’s gonna pay me for this, I want money, boo hoo and blah blah blah. I got so ticked at them that I walked away, by the Hells no one’s paying me and it could mean my death just to walk into Stonereach if I am recognized.

Queen: You did not inform them which ship was carrying the poison?

Ren: By the Nine Hells I didn't even give them the antitoxin.

Queen: WHAT!? You best hope they don't get infected.

Ren: Guess they shouldn't touch the toxin then huh?

Queen: That is not the point!!! That not how we do things Ren!

Ren: What's the big deal? Rory doesn’t even want to work with those bastards.

Queen: Do NOT mention his name! Rory is a betrayer and I will have his testicles as my next meal once I catch him.

Ren: Tasty!

The Queen slaps Ren in the mouth. Ren immediately holds it, blood pouring from around his fingers.

Queen: You had better hope they don’t all go on that ship. You know what the empires plan is.

Ren: To get them on board and release the ship to sea. Then they’ll catch it on fire burn it down and release the toxin into the water. I told them about the acid, I am sure they are smart enough to grab some.

Queen: You best hope they are, for all our sakes.

I certainly hope everyone enjoyed themselves tonight, it was a rather large group and I did keep missing things. Until next time .... mwahahaha!!!

I figured someone would have at least said something about the lack of antidote given.

Oh and before I forget, I would like to thank Miklis for missing out on sleep to join us for the event.

IC'ly, we have a whole new thread for golem response after that.

OOC'ly, it was fun. Got a bit chaotic when we were in the burning boat and everyone was trying to get off using a different method, but it was fun.

The event pointed out how badly that cave and the boat transitions need to be fixed. Those problems made things more confusing then a boat full of poison, acid, and adventurers would normally be.

Er, except for the bandit cave that was all DM-port-only areas. The shore one with the boat has been used several times, but the inside of that boat has only been used once before.
What we should have done is split the party up. Which I would have done except there was enough confusion and I didn't want to look mad by leaving the party.

The Weed events comes to a close, the heroes victorious.

But what happened to the Carvers?
Is this the last we will hear from them?
Will Weed crop up again?

Only time will tell.
